Effective this month, PSA/DNA — which is now transitioning to PSA Autograph — is utilizing slightly redesigned certification stickers for all PSA-authenticated autographed items. The new-and-improved stickers feature an all-encompassing holographic design on the front that showcases a large PSA red-and-blue logo in the center (right above the item’s black alpha-numeric certification code) surrounded by smaller, silver PSA logos set against an all-white background that transition from light to dark when held at various angles.
In addition, the back of the new stickers possess a stronger adhesive that better adheres to a variety of surfaces including signed jerseys, baseballs, footballs, basketballs, golf flags and photos. Lastly, the new sticker remains tamper-evident like its predecessor and will now leave behind white residue if the sticker is ever removed from a PSA-authenticated and/or graded signed item.
“We are always looking for ways to improve our products, whether it’s through better security measures or improved design,” said Tommy Paderes, PSA’s Director of Product Marketing. “This is just another example of our continued efforts to deliver a better product to collectors.”
NOTE: The old sticker versions are still valid on autographed items previously authenticated by PSA. The new sticker will be used on any newly authenticated items going forward. Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the previous sticker and its newly designed successor.
